Karin Ingham

        Fitness has always been a part of Karin Ingham’s life, along with travel and enjoying people. She has developed a solid foundation of experience and knowledge through a 20 year career in the fitness industry. Karin has been a familiar part of the Valley Health and Fitness team since 1999, teaching a variety of group fitness classes, strength training programs and personal training. Karin continues to explore new avenues of fitness staying fresh with continued education courses throughout the year. She enjoys recreational and some competitive fitness outside the gym in kayaking, rowing, skiing, biking, dragon boating and running.

Rachel

Dean

Rachel is a Registered Kinesiologist with the BC Association of Kinesiologists (BACK). She has 4 years experience working in the rehabilitation field providing exercise therapy for WCB and ICBC clients. She has worked extensively with clients with lower back, shoulder, thoracic and ankle injuries. Rachel also specializes in working with older adults providing fall prevention and chronic disease management programs. She enjoys working with beginner exercisers, as well as athletes, and she is a certified pre and post natal instructor. Joel Verbruggen

Joel started weight training in 1993 as a hobby and today he continues to train every day with enthusiasm and passion. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and specializes in sport specific training, strength training and plyometric exercise routines. He enjoys varying routines of strength and bodybuilding training throughout the year and competed in the Sandra Wickham Fall Classic in 2006, placing third. Joel also enjoys cooking and experimenting with a wide variety of healthy recipes, always looking to find that tasty but healthy meal.

Jennifer Manson

Jennifer has been active in the fitness industry since 2002. She has completed various certificates through the YMCA fitness curriculum as well as Personal Training Specialist with CanFitPro. She works hard to help her clients achieve their exercise goals and enjoys seeing the boost in self esteem and confidence that comes along with it. Jennifer specializes in training for all ages, including kids. Jennifer enjoys hiking, boxing, kickboxing, volleyball and rock climbing in her spare time.

Maddy Williams

Maddy grew up surrounded by fitness and dance  instructors, helping her develop a love for movement at a young age. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, water sports and snowboarding. Maddy started weight training in 2017, and she is here in the gym multiple days a week working on her own fitness goals. In 2022 she completed her personal training certification and has recently become a nutrition coach. She is looking forward to guiding you in the right direction when it comes to making healthy food choices and she is excited to help you feel confident and strong in the gym, as well as in yourself.

Emily developed a love for sport, fitness and nutrition at an early age. Turning her passion for healthy living into a career, she has been part of the Valley Health and Fitness team since 2007. You will currently find her instructing group fitness classes including Cycle Fit, Fit Camp, and HIIT, as well as group training and individual personal training. Emily believes a fit and healthy lifestyle is achievable for anyone. She particularly enjoys helping beginners feel comfortable in the gym setting as well as providing guidance for making healthy eating fun and accessible. Emily will provide you with the tools needed to kick start life changes, shake up your current routine and reach your goals, whatever they may be.

Leah has been active in the fitness industry since 2013, helping many people of all ages and fitness levels accomplish their fitness and nutrition goals. She has taught and continues to teach many different classes including seniors fit, bootcamp and circuit training as well as small group personal training and one on one training. Whatever your goals might be, Leah will offer you the knowledge, motivation and support you need to succeed with fun, safe, result driven programs and training. Beyond just movement Leah can also help you focus on full body wellness by creating a nutritional guidance plan to meet you needs. Whether it be losing fat, gaining muscle and weight, or just finding balance in your nutrition.
